Ring Locked Inserts
Ring Locked InsertsRing locked inserts use the same locking concept as the Rosan ring locked studs, and provide an internal thread with the primary function of transferring high loads into weak base materials. They are used in initial design as well as to repair stripped threads in the parental material. Versions are available with an optional internal thread-locking feature.

Variations of the standard design include inserts with a captive lockring, with floating nut elements, vespel lock, blind, hydraulic and a solid version for relocation of misaligned holes or threads.

  • Oversize replacements are available in every standard configuration.
  • Inserts and lockrings are made from many different materials with varying finishes.
  • Self-Broaching lockrings have been developed for use in materials with hardness of up to 40 HRC.
  • Internal thread sizes range from 0.112 to 3.000(inch) and 3 to 45(millimeter)
  • Parts are covered by "DOD", "MS", "DIN", and "LN" standards.

Slimsert Inserts

Slimsert Inserts
  • Inserts are offered in a wide variety of materials and finishes for use in applications with a temperature range of -400 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F .
  • Standard internal thread sizes range from 0.086 to 0.750 (inch) and 3 to 14 (millimeter)
  • Special designs include large sizes, spark plug inserts, and blind inserts.
  • All parts are available with an optional internal thread-locking feature having a life of up to 100 cycles.
  • Slimsert(TM) inserts are covered by "DOD", "MIL", "DIN", "EN", and "LN" standards.

Ring Locked Studs
Ring Locked StudsRosαn ring locked studs were designed to transfer high axial loads into weak base materials. A lockring prevents the stud from backing out, in either soft or hard materials, as it resists extremely high torque loads.

Variations of these studs include pin types, hydraulic, terminal types, full shank, reduced-shank nut ends, and studs designed for installation into extremely hard materials.

• Standard thread sizes from 0.138 to 1.000 (inch) and 5 to 24 (millimeter)

• DID, MS, DIN & LN standards

Size-On-Size Studs
Size-On-Size StudsSize-on-size studs are similar to ring locked studs except that both threads have the same nominal diameter. This feature allows the stud to be installed into minimum size bosses. The captivated lockring provides a positive lock against rotation, transferring high torque loads from the stud to the base material while the stud threads resist tension loads.

• Alloy steel, corrosion-resistant steels
& titanium

• Optional variety of finishes available

• Size-on-size studs range: 0.164 to 0.375 (inch), 5 to 12 (millimeter), AS & DIN standards

Ringlock Studs - Inserts

Ring Lock Studs - Inserts - RingsFeatures; Weight saving and provides high resistance to torque-out and pullout when used in conjunction with serrated lock ring driven into parent material. Interference fit stud end threads provide excellent performance in high fatigue/high vibration applications.

Applications; Utilized in soft and hard materials found in gear boxes, engines, pumps and vehicles in general.

Configuration; Shear, Lightweight, Heavy Duty

Materials; 4130 Alloy Steel, 303 Stainless, 17-4 PH, Alloy 718 (INCONEL 718), 6A1-4V Titanium

Press-Lock Products
Press-Lock ProductsRosan press-lock products were developed to provide threads in thin sheet metal applications. The most common products are press nuts, both fixed and floating, with an optional internal thread locking feature and press bolts. Press-Lock products are commonly used in sheet metal applications while clinch bolts and nuts are designed for high tension loads in thicker components.

  • Standard press nut and bolt sizes range from 0.086 to 0.375(inch) and 2 to 6(millimeter).

  • Specials are available in a large variety of materials , configurations and sizes.

  • Press-lock products are covered by "AS", "DOD", "MIL","DIN","LN" and "MA" standards.

Fluid Components
Rosan's fluid boss adapter line is designed to provide lighter, more reliable adapters when compared to conventional hex fittings. Two sealing surfaces, an anti-rotation device and a reduced envelope are three distinguishing features of Rosan adapters.

Rosan Fluid boss adapters are available in flared, flareless, beam seal and various other tube-end configurations in both inch and metric designs and support system pressures up to 8000 PSI. Threaded aluminum caps are available for protection of the adapter tube end and to seal in system fluid when shipping or storing hydraulic units. Conical and specialty metallic seals are also offered to prevent or repair leakage problems in all types of fluid systems.

Rosan adapters, shipping caps and conical seals are covered by "AS", "EN" and "MA" standards.

Specialty Products
In addition to our standard line of fasteners, Fastener Dimensions develops and manufactures a wide variety of specialty items to solve unique fastening problems. A large part of our effort is directed toward finding solutions to specific customer needs. Automotive valve seats and guides, composite thread inserts and barrel nuts are just a few examples. These specialty fasteners illustrate the underlying philosophy of Rosan, namely, to provide quality fastening solutions for any type of customers requirements.
